At the heart of RSLA lies an unwavering commitment to nurturing the community and fostering lasting bonds based on mutual support. We prioritize cultivating friendships, dignified treatment of all involved, and recognition of every contributor’s work.
Since our beginning, our focus has revolved around platforming artistic visions and intentions conscious of the boundaries shaping Eurocentric conventions and challenging them through active imagination, disobedience and sonic protest. We acknowledge how borders affect us and strive to create something new by transforming them — creating an amalgamation that draws on the few yet resonant non-colonial influences still living in our lands and bodies. We aim to imagine different possibilities for our present, resonating with the complexity within the global majority through the politics of listening and care.
Over the years, RSLA has evolved into a latent nexus for the Latin American diaspora and a broader audience seeking new soundscapes and heartfelt artistic expressions. We cater to those who embrace a kaleidoscope of narratives and perspectives. At our core, RSLA places profound emphasis on themes like freedom, justice, identity, mobility, and the intricate web beyond the human and the unidimensional life. We proudly stand as a celebration of communal spirit, a continuation of conjugation, and the joy found in shared experience.
